Basal Body Temperature
Importance of basal body temperature for conception
Basal body temperature (BBT) is your morning body temperature before you get out of bed. Ovulation may cause a slight increase in basal body temperature. You'll be most fertile during the two to three days before your temperature rises. By tracking your BBT each day, you may be able to predict when you'll ovulate. This may help you determine when you're most likely to conceive.
Remember, when it comes to getting pregnant, timing is everything.
Instructions for charting basal body temperature
It’s important to check your temperature every day and track that temperature on your BBT chart. Your basal body temperature chart is an important tool for your treatment. Please bring your temperature charts to every appointment. Blank charts and detailed instructions on use can be found on our basal body temperature charts and instructions.
If you're hoping to get pregnant, you can use the basal body temperature method to determine the best days to have sex.
