About Ramon Esparza, MD

  • Dr. Esparza grew up in El Paso, TX. When he’s not working, Dr. Esparza says “as a die-hard Longhorn, I enjoy attending sporting events at UT.” He and his wife, also a physician, have three children and enjoy spending time together as a family. He also enjoys traveling and exercising. Dr. Esparza’s favorite area locale is the Hill Country – he and his wife enjoy going there for rest and relaxation.

I chose a career in medicine because I was always drawn to the sciences from a young age, as a close family member had a serious brain ailment. Once I went through my pediatric clinical rotation in medical school, I knew I had found my calling. Seeing the huge impact that I could have on children gave me a great sense of fulfillment. I believe that medicine is not just a one-way street; it is a joint path of working together with the patient to achieve the ultimate goal. This is accomplished by working with the patient and family so they fully understand their illness and what is needed to get better. I enjoy all pediatric ages from birth to young adulthood.

We wished Dr. Esparza was more patient. We felt rushed during our appointment. We have a newborn and deserve a more patient doctor

  • March 1, 2023

Super nice and straight to the point.

  • February 25, 2023

Thank you for getting us in so quickly and the quick care. Excellent experience all around with scheduling, the nurse line, the front desk, the nurse, and the doctor

  • February 17, 2023

None, everything was great during our visit, special thanks for the nurse who attended us, she was very patient with my daughter.

  • February 14, 2023

Do better by people’s children, I came in trusting to leave with a plan of action for my sick infant, instead I left with a headache and heartache in a rush to find another doctor to take my child to.

  • February 7, 2023

My daughter is in college at Saint Edward’s and called from the campus medic with a horrible rash they could treat. The appointment was for same day nearby and the doctor and front desk was kind, helpful and reassured us my daughter would be okay.
