About Aleida Fernandez-Rubio, PA-C, MPAS

  • Aleida was born and raised in Havana, Cuba, and moved to the U.S. in 2012. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, usually traveling or making future travel plans. Aleida and her friends – her “Austin family” - enjoy exploring and discovering new places to eat and things to do around the city.

I always wanted to be in health care, and throughout my career, I found my niche in family medicine. I love the diversity the specialty offers, as it is not just about treating one condition, but working alongside patients during their life span to help them reach their health goals. I have the opportunity to form long-lasting relationships with my patients and treat them according to their values, beliefs, and individuality. I have a passion for educating and counseling patients on their health. By providing them with the most up-to-date, evidence-based medical recommendations, I can give them the tools to make decisions about their health and wellbeing.

  • November 7, 2022

Not happy with the fact I couldn’t get a morning appointment. Not happy with scheduling my appointment for just an annual physical, not even with a doctor, and it still took six weeks to get an appointment. I am happy I didn’t have to spend any money today.
