About Robert S. Hughes, MD

  • The father of 4 boys, Dr. Hughes describes himself as a "fitness geek" who enjoys activities such as cycling, running, and yoga, and working with his plants.

I try to spend time educating patients about their pregnancies or illness and involve them in decision making. Much of my job in pregnancies, as I see it, is reassuring and calming anxious patients during the changes, often normal, they experience during their pregnancy.

Dr Hughes is fabulous! He is so personable, professional, caring, and easy to talk to. He is one of the best doctors I’ve been blessed to have. His nurse is awesome! My Ob-Gyn doctor of 18 years moved out of state so I was kinda of apprehensive about finding a new doctor. The thought of starting over was dreadful! I was given an appointment with Dr. Hughes after my appt. With a diff.doc got canceled 3x. So Glad things worked out as they did. Dr.Hughes was easy going and I was able to voice my concerns about certain issues. He shared his knowledge on certain issues and gave me diff.options. He has great bedside manners and took his time to talk/listen to me. I found my GYN doctor!
