What I love about Family Medicine is that it harkens back to what medicine used to be: the traditional “country doctor” who would make a house call for any member of your family. We pride ourselves in being both a partner in health as well as a family friend, valuing accessibility, transparency, and being present when our patients need us. I approach my patients as I would any member of my own family. I care for them deeply, and I establish easy and transparent working relationships with them. I am prepared to aid in any capacity I can, whether advocating for them in a confusing healthcare system or just being a shoulder to cry (or laugh!) on during life changes.
Personal Summary
Dr. Schultz grew up in the Montrose district of Houston. Within her practice, she has a special interest in pediatrics, working with women on peripartum mood disorders, well-woman exams and birth control. When she is not working, Dr. Schultz and her husband love exploring new foods (cheese!) and craft beers. When they are not eating, they play with their four cats and have movie marathons. “I also drink a lot of coffee,” she says, and loves to sew quilts. One of her favorite area locales is Jester King west of Austin – “great beer and great scenery, they even have a small goat farm!”
