About
Sarah B. Wilke, APRN, MSN, AGNP-C
-
Sarah Wilke's last day at ARC was Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Please see below for physicians and advanced practice clinician (APC) she recommends to patients wanting to transfer or establish care at ARC. Read letter.
Originally from St. Louis, MO, Sarah has lived in Texas for over 30 years, mostly in and around Austin. When she is not at work, Sarah enjoys experimenting in the kitchen (especially baking), getting lost in a good book, learning how to work and create with different art mediums and construction materials, and mildly inconveniencing her cat, George. Her favorite area locale is Enchanted Rock, where “with its granite dome and sweeping landscapes, my husband proposed and where we were later married!”
Learn more about Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
After years of working in hospitals and acute care settings, I chose to specialize in geriatric medicine to better understand the unique needs of this population and learn how to care for them with the dignity and grace they deserve. Each individual patient has a unique medical and social profile, including their illness experience, support networks, access to resources, etc., and while prevention is promoted and preferred, it is not always possible. A holistic approach takes these elements, along with many others, into consideration when developing a plan of care with the patient. I desire to partner with each individual to better manage their health and medical conditions in a way that aligns with their specific values and goals.
