We are happy to welcome Sarah B. Wilke, APRN, MSN, AGNP-C, to the team at ARC Senior Care Pflugerville.
Sarah is now scheduling appointments for clinic visits beginning July 25.
ARC Senior Care is a clinic dedicated to Medicare and Medicare Advantage patients ages 55+ with multiple chronic health concerns. Care is provided by geriatric doctors and APCs, and additional services include nurse navigators and pharmacy consultants.
"I chose to specialize in geriatrics to better understand the unique needs of this population and learn how to care for them with the dignity and grace they deserve," says Sarah.
Socialization and stimulation for mental health
"Socialization and intellectual stimulation have been shown to be some of the most effective ways for seniors to care for and improve their mental health. Among other benefits they can improve mood, cognition, sleep quality, and memory recall," says Sarah.
"When not at work I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen (especially baking), getting lost in a good book, learning how to work and create with different art mediums and construction materials, and mildly inconveniencing my cat George," says Sarah.
