We are pleased to welcome Patrick C. Nolan, MD, PhD, Neurology, to ARC East 7th.
"I chose medicine because I was inspired as a child by my pediatrician," says Dr. Nolan. "I found my specialty while doing research in neuroscience as an undergraduate at the University of Illinois that eventually developed into a PhD thesis."
"Neurology is a field of medicine that involves a holistic approach to the health of the patient," says Dr. Nolan. He continues, "I enjoy approaching the care of my patient and their often-complex medical issues by trying to understand their problem and improving their symptoms."
Stay active for your brain
When asked for his health tip for patients, Dr. Nolan replied, "It is important to stay physically active and intellectually active after middle age – it is never too late to pick up a new hobby or interest for good brain health."
In his free time, Dr. Nolan says, "I play music and build musical instruments as well as other woodworking projects."
