About Tera C. Brooks, MD

  • Dr. Brooks currently has long wait times for new patients. Please see below for physicians she recommends to new patients wanting to transfer or establish care at ARC.

Dr. Brooks grew up around Austin, TX and Albuquerque, NM. She served as a United States Army Captain, Medical Corps, from 2012-2016, in General Practice at Fort Hood, TX. When she is not at work, Dr. Brooks enjoys spending time with her family, and loves cooking and reading, in addition to taking up competitive running “as a challenge,” she says. She also enjoys learning about different cultures and languages, and is currently working on learning Spanish and Korean. One of Dr. Brooks’ favorite local spots is her parents’ home in Point Venture, where she enjoys the view of Lake Travis.

When I was around 11 years old, I remember watching the TV show “ER” and telling my parents I was going to be a doctor. I did an internship in high school and continued to volunteer. Being a doctor has always been my dream, and during my three years as a General Practitioner for the Army, I grew to love Family Medicine. I love getting to know my patients and seeing them progress to better health. I believe that caring for a patient is a journey you take together and it is important for both doctor and patient to know and agree on the route of care and treatment.

I love Dr. Brooks she’s very helpful and kind and does not make me feel judged in anyway.

  • December 6, 2022

It took 3 months for me to get a new patient appointment. Although I am sure Dr. Brooks was busy , I was very pleased that she took the time to ask questions and listen to me. I am glad to have her as my new PCP.

  • December 6, 2022

This was my first visit with Dr. Brooks. It felt like she had been my F.P. all along. Very thorough and knowledgeable . If she was accepting new patients I would definitely seek her out as my primary as mine is retiring at the end of the month.

  • December 6, 2022

Took the time to discuss and explain medical issues

  • December 5, 2022

Need a follow-up to see if it bronchitis or something else.

  • December 2, 2022

Dr. Brooks is always on top of it and reads her nurse’s notes before speaking to me. I don’t feel I need to repeat myself. Always enjoy my visits with my doctor and nurse.
