About Richard A. Stoebner, MD, FACC

  • Dr. Stoebner has relocated his practice from ARC Senior Care but will continue to see patients at ARC Cedar Park Building B, and is currently accepting new patients. He is also available for follow-up visits via telemedicine. His last day seeing patients at ARC Senior Care was on Friday, June 28, 2024. Read letter.

Dr. Stoebner grew up in Temple, TX. When he isn’t working, he can often be found outside running, hiking, camping, or paddling. Among his favorite area locales are the greenbelts and trails, especially the Roy and Ann Butler Hike & Bike Trail around Lady Bird Lake in Austin.

My father, an uncle, and several cousins were all physicians, another cousin was a nurse and dean of a local nursing school, so I had a lot of exposure to healthcare professions growing up. In my practice, I try to listen first. Knowing a patient’s concern is of obvious importance in determining how to help them. People appreciate being heard and understood. Addressing the lifestyle in terms of habits, diet, and exercise is another very important step. The need for medical testing or treatment can often be minimized if all of this is in order.

Treadmill Stress Testing

Treadmill Stress Testing

A treadmill test helps a doctor determine how well your heart handles work. As your body works harder during the test, it requires more oxygen, so the heart must pump more blood. The test can show if the blood supply is reduced in the arteries that supply the heart. It also helps doctors know the kind and level of exercise appropriate for a patient.

Loved Dr. Stoebner, he’s amazing. He was extremely thorough & thoughtful, never felt once like he was thinking about anything else but me while I was there. He’s an extraordinary communicator, a very nice & kind gentleman. He should be a model for your brand, as quite frankly he’s an exception rather than the rule. So refreshing to sit with someone who was COMPLETELY PRESENT while offering his assessment of my present heart condition. Trust him implicitly, double his salary and put him on the board to help make your brand the same kind of excellence he represents. I could go on and on.

The front office staff is always incredibly helpful. The MA was excellent. Kind, helpful and seemed very knowledgeable. Dr. Stoebner is an excellent doctor with an amazing bedside manner. I could not be happier with the Doctors I have seen at ARC.
