About Palak B. Patel, MD

  • Dr. Patel grew up in India and spent her last teen years in Austin. In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking. She also lists viewing the most popular TV series, reviving old hobbies, and self-care among her free time activities. Her favorite area locale is Hamilton Pool.

I was inspired by my grandfather to pursue a career in medicine. I chose Otolaryngology (ENT) as my specialty because it encompasses everything, both clinical medicine and a diverse surgical practice, from toddlers to seniors. My practice addresses the many diseases and issues of the head and neck, and diverse techniques to address them. I believe in arming the patients with the needed knowledge about their disease process so they can participate in informed decision-making, and together, we can achieve the best outcomes.

Dr. Patel was caring, nice, and very sweet. Would recommend her to family and friends! Please keep doctors like her and dr jaffers and dr virani. They are AWESOME! Need more doctors like them!!!!

  • December 19, 2024

Dr. Patel was wonderful. As he is deaf and communicates with sign language she made sure he knew each step she was doing when removing his cyst from his earlobe. She was so patient and professional. She cares about her patients. Her nurse was wonderful too. She made sure we understood what was happening as well. As his mom that means so much.

  • December 12, 2024

I liked that the office called me with a sooner appointment since my original appointment was in January.

  • December 11, 2024

The visit was fine, but didn’t start until 24 minutes after the appointment time. This happens, t realize that; but I think that the physician should acknowledge that the patient, whose time is valuable as well, has been waiting. She needn’t apologize, but she should at least acknowledge the inconvenience.

  • December 9, 2024

Doctor and nurse were very helpful and answered all my questions

  • December 5, 2024

Didn’t care for the doctor’s personality. Medically she’s fine but seems to lack caring. No smiles
