We are happy to announce that Shaelyn M. Gibson, PA, Pediatrics, has joined the team at ARC Far West. She works with Dr. James Anderson, caring jointly for his patients in the area of Behavioral Health, specifically ADD and ADHD.
"Growing up with a parent that worked for the fire department, I was exposed to medical field from a young age," says Shaelyn. "Through talking to many people in the field and shadowing experiences I found the physician assistant (PA) profession and knew it was the best fit for me."
"My philosophy centers around slowing down and taking the time with each patient, making sure each patient feels heard and understood," adds Shaelyn.
When asked for a health tip, Shaelyn responded "Good mental health goes hand in hand with good physical health, so try to limit stress by getting 8-10 hours of sleep per night and staying active throughout the day."
In her free time, Shaelyn says she enjoys "Hiking and walking one of the many trails in Austin."
