We are pleased to announce that Menaka Mahadevan, MD, Pediatrics has joined the team at ARC Cedar Park Building C.
"I chose medicine because I wanted to make a difference in a person's life in a meaningful way," says Dr. Mahadevan. "Children have such pure spirits and make each day rewarding. They will always let you know what they think -good or bad! I love seeing the personalities of my patients develop over the years."
The importance of immunization
"I feel that it is always important to involve families in the care of their child," says Dr. Mahadevan. "Parents know their child the best and I found over the years that listening to the parent will help with the overall care of the child." She continues, "I will always provide guidance through evidence-based medicine, but will recommend what works best for each individual family."
When asked about her best health tip for patients, Dr. Mahadevan says, "I believe in the importance of immunizations in protecting your child along with the general community."
In her free time, Dr. Mahadevan says, "I love hiking around the many trails in Austin with my dog Tanner. I am a dog lover and have rescued three cocker spaniels."
