Compassion and empathy come first
We are happy to announce that Sheri L. Valencia, APRN, MSN, NP-C, has joined the ARC Rheumatology team. A Nurse Practitioner, Sheri will be seeing patients at ARC Far West Medical Tower.
"Coming from a family of healthcare providers - my grandmother was a midwife, along with multiple cousins who are physicians and nurses - I knew health care was in my future," Sheri says. "My passion for health care has been a part of my entire life, starting as a CNA at 18, then following as an LVN, then RN, and finally as a Nurse Practitioner."
Helping patients make the best decisions
When asked about her approach to patient care, Sheri says, "Compassion and empathy are the first approach when seeing patients and devising a comprehensive plan to assist them in making the best decisions in their care."
In her free time, Sheri says, "I am passionate about helping underserved patients and am a board member with Operation KidDocs which provides surgical services to the pediatric population in Guatemala."
She adds, "Spending time with my family, traveling, cooking, and gardening are also passions you will hear me talking about when I get the chance."
