On March 5, 2024, we began using automatically generated messages to quickly share explanations of commonly ordered lab summaries through ARC MyChart. This was implemented for all ARC Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians and advanced practice clinicians (APCs). We plan to add the remaining specialties' lab summaries over the course of the next several months.
These automatically generated summaries will provide a more thorough explanation with some basic instructions, as needed. The protocols used to generate the summaries have been reviewed and validated by ARC physicians.
This follows a successful pilot project at ARC Cedar Park and Far West.
What you'll see
- Within an hour of the lab results becoming available, you will receive an automated summary of the results.
- The summary is identified as an auto-generated message.
- Your care team will follow up with additional information or instructions as necessary.
Rest assured that your results are still being reviewed by your ARC physician/APC.
