ARC Center Street, located at 22420 IH 35, Suite 203 in Kyle, has added osteoporosis and bone density screenings to its radiology services.
Low bone mass (osteopenia) and osteoporosis (weak, thinning bones) are common in men and women ages 50 and older. A bone density screening determines bone mineral density and whether bones are more brittle and prone to break or fracture easily. Early detection and early treatment can help prevent bone fractures, and full-body densitometry exams can help detect bone loss.
ARC Center Street also offers mammography, another important screening.
Osteoporosis/bone density screenings are also offered at ARC Far West and ARC South 1st.
If your ARC physician has ordered a bone density screening, you can schedule it online or through ARC MyChart.
