We are happy to welcome Martha I. Pyron, MD, to the team at ARC Bee Cave as a Sports & Musculoskeletal Medicine specialist. She is fellowship trained in Primary Care Sports Medicine and has extensive experience in working with athletes of all ages and abilities, including Olympic athletes.
Dr. Pyron is now scheduling appointments for clinic visits beginning August 29.
ARC Sports & Musculoskeletal Medicine doctors are highly trained in non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal conditions of general orthopedic nature. Most patients are treated for acute and overuse injuries or injection therapies.
"I truly believe the best way to practice medicine is to listen," says Dr. Pyron. "And then apply up-to-date knowledge and skills to come up with a plan that suits the patient's needs." Dr. Pyron says she loves her musculoskeletal medicine practice—whether working with an Olympic athlete or the average person who has an injury, it is all fun for her.
Hydration keeps your body running
"Staying hydrated is one of the healthiest things you can do!" advises Dr. Pyron. "Most adults need about 64 ounces of water a day. Hydration helps avoid fatigue, heat illness, and keeps your body running."
In her free time, Dr. Pyron enjoys the outdoors, "except when it's the middle of summer heat in Texas!", spending time with her dog, Clarabelle, and "the parks around Austin, year-round."
