About Urooj B.N. Jaffer, MD

  • Dr. Jaffer grew up in Karachi, Pakistan. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her two young sons, reading and doing crafts with them. Dr. Jaffer also likes to travel and explore new places, cultures, and food. Among her favorite locales in the area are Hamilton Pool Reserve and Lake Travis.

I was inspired to choose medicine by my mother, who is also a family doctor. I grew up seeing her as a problem-solver, connecting with patients and their families, and was inspired by the gratification that comes from helping people when they are sharing their vulnerabilities and investing their trust in their doctor. I believe that I am a partner in my patients’ health, and my role is to keep motivating them to make healthy choices.
