About Sapna Shah, MD

  • Dr. Shah was born and grew up in India before moving to the United States at age 17. She lived in California, New Jersey and Pennsylvania before a “much anticipated” move to Austin. She and her family enjoy exploring new restaurants, running trails, and music venues.

To choose a career in medicine is choosing a field of service, and being a pediatrician brings me joy. I enjoy interacting with children and their families, whether for a sick visit or a regular check-up. I encourage involving families in patient care, and give each child the attention and care that I would give my own. Helping patients and families through an ailment and making sure they receive the guidance to stay healthy is a rewarding experience.

In addition to the visit my son had the flu shot & was very happy with the nurse. It didn?t hurt at all. Not all nurses have a good hand for vaccines, but she was great. Dr Shah is always nice as well.

Dr. Shah actually talked to our son instead of just us. She did a great job of engaging him even though he felt sick. Fabulous bedside manner.

I appreciate the service of the front desk. Nurse was especially kind and helpful. The nurses and our doctor were also kind and cared for us well.
