About Salima A. Ali, MD

  • Dr. Ali currently has long wait times for new patients. Please see below for physician and advanced practice clinician (APC) she recommends to new patients wanting to transfer or establish care at ARC.

If Dr. Ali is your primary care physician, please book your appointment via your ARC MyChart account or call 512-ARC-INFO (512-272-4636).

Dr. Ali grew up and received her early medical training in Pakistan before moving to the U.S. In her free time, Dr. Ali enjoys reading about alternative medicine practices from around the world, spending time with her family, exercising every day, and trying out healthy recipes. Her favorite spots in town include hiking on Lady Bird Lake and exploring new hiking trails.

I strongly believe in patient empowerment and working as a team. With my knowledge of evidence-based medicine, compassion for all patients, ability to be a good listener, and interest in integrative care practices, I bring my patients the best and most modern care available. I enjoy getting to know the patient as a whole person and not just their disease, and provide them with knowledge so they can make the right choices for themselves. I am a strong advocate for healthy lifestyles and that ‘an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure’ – Benjamin Franklin.

Felt rushed. Didn’t feel like the doctor had the time to really listen to me or know me. I don’t feel like she took all of my health concerns seriously, but she did give me the referrals I needed.

  • November 15, 2024

Both nurse and Dr. Ali were welcoming with smiles and optimism. They were thorough and easy to talk to. Prepared to answer any questions I might have. I did not feel “hurried”…no one was “looking at their watches”. I felt very cared for and look forward to seeing them in the future 😊👏.

Dr. Ali’s nurse is outstanding. She is so positive, kind and helpful. I wish I could remember her name! She took vitals and demonstrated how to use an Ozempic pen. Dr. Ali is also kind, thorough and responsive . Overall a positive experience.
