About Ricky C. Mehta, MD

  • When he is not working, Dr. Mehta enjoys working out, running, trail hiking, being on the lakes, sports, spending time with friends and family, and then, “good old Netflix!” Being relatively new to Central Texas, Dr. Mehta looks forward to exploring all the area has to offer.

I chose Rheumatology because it’s an evolving field of medicine that has made great strides in treatments available for various rheumatology diseases. It is a very rewarding, but at the same time, very humbling specialty, where I make very close connections with patients. I practice good patient care by listening to patients, followed by a thorough physical exam, labs, and imaging studies to support a diagnosis and treatment plan.

The appt was on time with little wait. The nurse and doctor did not rush the visit answering all of my questions.

This was my first time with Dr. Mehta. I was a little nervous since we drove about an hour away. The staff made it very easy to check in. I was called back a few minutes before my scheduled appointment time just which is great. The nurse was great. She had a list of all my medication's and records on the computer. Then the doctor came in. And spoke with me he acknowledged that he had read my medical record. He explained very well my diagnosis and had great suggestions for my treatment. I love the fact that I just had to go to an office next-door inside the same building and do my labs. I was very pleased with the whole process. I would highly recommend this Austin regional medical clinic to friends and family.
