About Rhett J. Orgeron, MD

  • Dr. Orgeron grew up in Belle Chasse, LA. When he is not working, he enjoys cooking, traveling, running, and hosting game night for his friends. His favorite local spot is “any Chuy’s!”

I’ve always had a love of the biological sciences, detective stories, and helping others. Choosing a career in Internal Medicine was a great way of pursuing all of these passions, as they are very much entwined in this field. Every patient I treat is not only an opportunity to heal someone and help better their life, but also a chance for me to grow as a physician and as a person. A great provider takes an interpersonal approach to medicine. Taking the time to get to know the individual patient is just as important as treating their illness. It allows one to better understand their background, values, and beliefs, to create a more tailored approach to their care.
