About Hetu Y. Parekh, MD

  • Dr. Parekh has relocated his practice to ARC Anderson Mill and will continue to see patients at ARC Four Points. His last day seeing patients at ARC Medical Plaza Specialty was Friday, October 4, 2024. Read letter.

Dr. Parekh’s early years were spent in India, then in the U.S. in Chicago and Massachusetts. When he is not at work, he enjoys “anything outdoors,” whether just a walk in the neighborhood or hiking and picnicking with his family. Dr. Parekh also enjoys traveling, cooking, and “of course, eating at food trucks!” His favorite area spot is the hike-and-bike trail loop around Lady Bird Lake.

I chose medicine because it is one of the few careers so exclusively people-focused that I can talk to many different people each day and get to know them! After practicing general pediatrics for several years, I chose to become an allergist because I was seeing so many patients with allergy problems and really wanted to delve deeply into that specific area. I enjoy Allergy so much because treating people for their underlying condition with allergy drops or shots lets me get to the root cause of the problem instead of just giving a medication to put a ‘bandaid’ on the problem.

Medical assistant who worked us up did an amazing job! She had patience and was very professional. Remove the sign that says “wait here to check in” if that’s not where people are supposed to be. And if they are supposed to be there then maybe front desk needs to acknowledge people when they walk in so people know they’re in the right spot. How about “we’ll be right with you.” Or “hi, give me just a moment”….SOMETHING

I didn’t understand why I had to talk to the allergist before getting an allergy test, but I appreciate how he helped with my issues

Dr. Parekh is so good with my kiddo (5yo). He listens to me and gives his medical opinion while allowing me, as the parent, to make choices in my child's care. His nurse at Four Points is also super sweet and really good with kids. I have a high appreciation for the team approach for caring for patients that they provide.
