About
Hetu Y. Parekh, MD
-
Dr. Parekh has been living in Austin since 2016. In the community, he has given numerous anaphylaxis trainings to school staff and serves on the Texas Department of State Health Services School Health Committee. Dr. Parekh has also made numerous television and print media appearances. He wears multiple hats, but when not seeing patients or teaching medical students or conducting clinical research, Dr. Parekh enjoys "anything outdoors," whether just a walk in the neighborhood or hiking with his family!
I went into medicine because it is one of the few careers that is exclusively people-focused: you spend all day helping individual patients and their families. Each day, I get to meet and talk to so many different people from different walks of life. What could be better?! When I think about it that way, I feel blessed to be able practice Allergy and see patients' quality of life dramatically improve with allergy treatment.
