About Arielle C. DuBose, MD, FACS, FASCRS

  • Dr. DuBose grew up in Houston, and when she is not at work, she can be found outside with her two young daughters and her husband, Travis. The family lives on acreage and loves working around the property and “watching the wildlife come in each morning and evening.” Dr. DuBose has a lifelong love of riding horses – dressage, jumpers, reining, and trail riding – and they have “an amazing pony” that her daughters ride with her, leading them through the beautiful hill country around their home. Dr. DuBose is active in the Episcopal church. She plays the violin in a symphony or chamber music setting, but also loves to “fiddle in a band or at the occasional front-porch jam session!” Among her favorite locales are floating the river with family/friends, getting dinner and margaritas at the Gristmill, then going to a show at Gruene Hall.

Dr. DuBose conducts major and minor surgical procedures at:

I was a freshman in college trying to decide what to do with my life when I saw a picture in Time magazine of an American doctor treating a wounded Afghan soldier. It made an impact on me. I love the idea of contributing to the world in a way that supersedes political or geographical boundaries or socioeconomic divides. The Afghan soldier didn't care what side of the war his doctor was on, he was just scared and injured and trusted the doctor to help him. I decided then to pursue a career in medicine. In my practice, I put the patient's quality of life at the forefront of all considerations. They get to call the shots when it comes to their health care, because only they know their true experience and struggles. I find joy in working together with a person and their family to create a treatment plan that suits their unique situation.

My process for getting an appt was a bit different. It was considered urgent in a world that doesn't offer enough dermatologists in the ARC System to easily get a quick appt. But,,, Thankfully, the staff of ARC, The Dr's nurses and Scheduling staff were patient and very Caring with me in the process . They were very motivated and professional in times I felt scared, frustrated and uncertain as to whether I could be seen to have a painful Boyle, in a very sensitive area. They found a cancellation with Dr Dubois and I was not only immensely grateful to have it excised , but to also enjoy Dr Dubois personality, bed-side manner and skills. Thank you for the staff you have on board and here's hoping you will hire more dermatologists and at least one Kidney specialist if possible. Best Wishes and much Gratitude
