About Alexander J. Alvarez, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI

  • Dr. Alvarez has relocated his practice to ARC South 1st Specialty and Pediatrics. His last day seeing patients at ARC Kyle Plum Creek was Friday, September 6, 2024. Read letter.

Dr. Alvarez is a native Austinite. When he is not working, Dr. Alvarez enjoys jogging, traveling, hiking, spending time outdoors, and “enjoying life with my family.” Among his favorite locales are Lady Bird Lake and the Texas Hill Country.

I chose to become a physician to make a difference in people’s lives. It is a privilege to care for patients of all ages and see their health improve under my care. Being an Allergist and Immunologist gives me the opportunity to provide excellent treatment options to improve my patient’s health and quality of life. Treating the underlying allergic conditions with targeted therapies allows me to address the source of the patient’s disease instead of just the symptoms. I seek to provide evidence-based, high-quality, personalized care to all of my patients.

  • November 28, 2024

Dr. Alvarez was very good about explaining the tests he wanted to run and getting my opinion on it as well. I appreciated how he took his time thinking about my situation.

  • November 27, 2024

The dr being passive aggressive is a turn off. I liked the staff at the lab who took my son’s blood work. They were very sweet and helpful when dealing with a 3 year old.

Dr Alvarez was great! He asked questions and listened to our concerns. Started a care plan and we will see 😊
