About Alexander J. Alvarez, MD, FAAAAI, FACAAI

  • Dr. Alvarez is a native Austinite. When he is not working, Dr. Alvarez enjoys jogging, traveling, hiking, spending time outdoors, and “enjoying life with my family.” Among his favorite locales are Lady Bird Lake and the Texas Hill Country.

I chose to become a physician to make a difference in people’s lives. It is a privilege to care for patients of all ages and see their health improve under my care. Being an Allergist and Immunologist gives me the opportunity to provide excellent treatment options to improve my patient’s health and quality of life. Treating the underlying allergic conditions with targeted therapies allows me to address the source of the patient’s disease instead of just the symptoms. I seek to provide evidence-based, high-quality, personalized care to all of my patients.

Dr Alvarez evaluated me based on his exam and not just my chart. He listened to my complaint and had my concern addressed by helping facilitate an appointment later the same day with PA Brian. That was extremely helpful and appreciated.

  • June 28, 2024

Not fast ( as in walk in walk out) Informative and helpful

  • June 27, 2024

I love how the doctor explained how I will be medically examined and receive help to address my allergy issues

I liked the information and the explanation given by the doctor.

  • June 26, 2024

He took time to address our concerns, explained our choices and allowed time for us to make decisions. I appreciate that he considered that we would need time to process new information.

Dr is easy to understand, friendly. He did a good review asking me questions over the last year.
