AUSTIN, Texas – (January 7, 2015) – Jay R. Zdunek, DO, MBA, has joined Austin Regional Clinic as the new Senior Medical Director, Primary Care.
Dr. Zdunek joins Dr. Russ Krienke, ARC Chief Medical Officer, in supporting ARC Family Medicine and Internal Medicine departments, as well as working with ARC leadership on new business ventures.
Dr. Zdunek has been a practicing physician since 1986, and brings to ARC a strong background in multispecialty physician practices.
Prior to joining ARC, Dr. Zdunek was with the Heritage Valley Medical Group in western Pennsylvania, where he served as Chairman of the multispecialty group. His responsibilities included overseeing acquisitions and mergers, leading the implementation of e-prescribing, electronic medical records, a patient portal, and physician dashboards for information, quality, and utilization metrics.
Dr. Zdunek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Medical Services from the University of Dayton, Dayton, OH; and received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Chicago, IL. He completed his Masters in Business Administration degree at George Washington University, Washington, DC.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Physician Executives, and the Travis County Medical Society.
