"Austin Regional Clinic Round Rock has added urgent care services to meet the needs of the Round Rock community.
"As part of the ARC Round Rock medical office, the new Urgent Care Center is equipped with an in-house laboratory and diagnostic X-ray services.
"The center is open to ARC patients and the entire Round Rock community. It will act as an alternative when patients cannot get a same-day appointment with their physicians, or for patients with urgent health problems.
"Additionally, ARC representatives say the new center likely will be less costly for patients who would normally visit an emergency room.
"All insurance plans currently accepted by ARC will be taken at the new Urgent Care Center, according to the clinic. Additionally, patients can pay for services at the new center with cash or credit cards.
"Appointments and walk-ins will be accepted Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
"Dr. Larry Broder the ARC physician who will cover urgent care in Round Rock. Previously, Broder was in the military, providing medical care to active-duty and retired soldiers, national guard units and civilians.
"In addition to the new Round Rock Urgent Care Center, ARC also has a daytime Urgent Care Center at its Far West clinic. Because of that center's success, ARC believes the Round Rock location will benefit patients in the north part of town.
"We are proud to offer the same quality services at a location more convenient to our patients in North Austin, Round Rock and Pflugerville,' says Susan Patton, vice president of operations for ARC.
"It is a move that will benefit both our patients in that area and the whole Round Rock community.'"
