ARC breaks ground on the new South Medical building

ARC officially broke ground today on the new ARC Surgery Center South and ARC South Specialty building.

The new medical building is planned to be 65,000 square feet on two levels. The first floor will have 45 exam rooms, four treatment rooms, and lab and radiology services. A second level will have 58 exam rooms and three treatment rooms.

The medical building will house an ARC ambulatory surgery center (ASC), ARC specialties including Dermatology, Podiatry, Audiology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Sports & Musculoskeletal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Neurology, Rheumatology, and Allergy and Asthma. It will also include ARC Medical Aesthetics, rebranded to Olino Medical Aesthetics when it opens.

Principals of the project are the contracting firm, Rogers-O'Brien Construction, and the architecture firm, The Lawrence Group.

The groundbreaking included ARC leadership and management, the key principals on the project, local elected officials, and the media.

"We are very excited about this new facility, which we have been planning for years," said Anas Daghestani, MD, ARC CEO. "With an ambulatory surgery center and more room for our many specialties in the new clinic, and expanded space for primary care in our existing clinics on the site, ARC continues its growth to meet the demand for more medical services and access to high-quality, coordinated care in the south Austin and surrounding communities."

The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025 and open in early 2026.
