ARC breaks ground on new South Campus building

-New medical building includes an ambulatory surgery center-

September 19, 2024 – Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) broke ground September 19 on a new facility, ARC Surgery Center South and ARC South Specialty building. The new medical building is just west of the existing clinics, ARC South 1st and ARC South 1st Specialty & Pediatrics.

The new state-of-the-art facility is planned for 65,000 square feet on two levels. The first floor will house an ambulatory surgery center, numerous specialties, and lab and radiology, with 58 exam rooms and four treatment rooms.

On the second floor will be ARC Medical Aesthetics (rebranded to Olino Medical Aesthetics when the building opens) and more specialties, with 58 exam rooms and three treatment rooms.

ARC specialties that will be in the new medical building include Dermatology, Podiatry, Audiology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Sports & Musculoskeletal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Neurology, Rheumatology, and Allergy and Asthma.

Principals on the building are contracting firm Rogers-O'Brien Construction, and The Lawrence Group, architects.

"We are very excited about this new facility, which we have been planning for years," said Anas Daghestani, MD, ARC CEO. "With an ambulatory surgery center and more room for our many specialties in the new clinic, and expanded space for primary care in our existing clinics on the site, ARC continues its growth to meet the demand for more medical services and access to high-quality, coordinated care in the south Austin and surrounding communities."

The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2025 and open in early 2026.
