As we celebrate the holiday and many take a break from work, at home or in the workplace, ARC recognizes and thanks our physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and all clinic and support staff who help keep you and our community healthy every day of the year. We are proud to work with such a dedicated, talented, and caring group.
We especially thank those working this weekend and Monday in our After Hours Clinics, NormanMD, in IT, Central Registration, and other departments, who are taking time away from family and friends to serve those in our community who need medical care and assistance.
The observation of Labor Day began in the late 1800s after New York labor unions hosted a parade to honor their employees and fight for fair working conditions. President Grover Cleveland signed a law in 1894 officially designating Labor Day as a federal holiday, paying tribute to and celebrating the contributions and achievements of the millions of American workers who continue to be a force for progress and productivity.
Take a moment to think about why we celebrate Labor Day in the first place—to recognize the contributions of workers in this country and the value of their work—at ARC, in our communities, and across our nation.
Enjoy the holiday, however you choose to celebrate. Stay safe and healthy!
