ARC Expands Specialty Care Though Association with Medical Park Orthopaedic Clinic

July 1, 2010 - Austin Regional Clinic and Medical Park Orthopaedic Clinic (MPOC) became affiliated on July 1, 2010 to provide expanded services to the patients of both groups and to the medical community in Central Texas. The association advances ARC’s goals of expanding our specialty offerings wherever we provide medical care. With an established team of orthopedic specialists joining our group, we are able to provide our patients with more convenient and more seamless access to orthopedic care. While the MPOC office at Medical Park Tower will remain unchanged, some of the physicians will begin to expand their services to other ARC locations as space and opportunities become available.

For MPOC, the association provides them increased expertise in coding, accounting, billing, claims, marketing and communications, health information management, quality management, and information technology administration. MPOC can rely on our administrative expertise while they continue to offer the quality of care that their patients and referring physicians have come to expect.

The patients of both groups will receive better access to orthopedic care when the services expand to other ARC clinics. While MPOC has always provided reliable care, it will now be more convenient and more seamless to ARC patients. The affiliation will benefit both the physicians and hospitals throughout the entire medical communities we serve. The joining of services will facilitate communication between ARC physicians and the orthopedic specialists, while, non-ARC physicians will continue to rely on the high-quality care provided by the orthopedists. The expansion of orthopedic services to other areas in Austin translates to increased orthopedic procedures in areas that benefit both the patients as well as the hospital systems with whom we are affiliated.
