Austin Regional Clinic is happy to announce that Ali Bagheri, MD, Orthopedics, has joined the team at ARC Medical Park Tower Orthopedics as an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon.
Dr. Bagheri says he was born into a family of healthcare professionals. He says, “I was able to see first-hand the beneficial impact that they had in the community that we lived in. I knew from a very early age that I wanted to pursue a career in medicine to continue to serve the community that I call home.”
Of his interest in orthopedics, Dr. Bagheri says, “After being a young athlete and sustaining several musculoskeletal injuries of my own, I became interested in orthopedics. I always had a desire to learn what was wrong with my own body, and this led me to want to study muscles, tendons, ligaments, and bones, and their interaction with each other.”
It was in his orthopedic residency that Dr. Bagheri become interested in spine and spinal surgery. “The complex nature of the vertebrae, disc spaces, muscles, ligaments, in combination with the spinal cord and spinal nerves really caught my interest,” he says. “I then pursued a dedicated fellowship year of spine surgery training and decided to make this field my area of expertise.”
Treat every patient like family
Dr. Bagheri says his treatment philosophy is simple - treat every patient like they are a family member. “I am committed to providing patients with a detailed explanation of their diagnosis and understanding sources of pain,” he says. “Treatment recommendations, including non-operative management, are tailored to each individual patient.
When asked about how he likes to spend his free time, Dr. Bagheri says, “I love spending time with family and friends. I love to be active and outside, particularly playing or watching sports.”
