Normal Hearing at Any Age
July 30, 2018
Hearing loss due to aging is not uncommon; it is estimated that one in three people in the United States between the ages of 65 and 74 has hearing loss, and nearly half of those older than 75 have difficulty hearing. But, Dr. Angel De La Cruz, Audiologist at ARC Round Rock, says “At any age, hearing loss should be treated to ensure you can communicate with the world around you.”
In this recent podcast on the ARC Healthcare Minute, Dr. De La Cruz says “Normal hearing is normal hearing at any age. If you find that you often ask others to repeat themselves, have problems hearing conversations on your cell phone, or misunderstand what others are saying, you could have some hearing loss.”
If you feel like you are having trouble hearing and would like to get a hearing evaluation, schedule an appointment with Dr. De La Cruz online or by calling 512-244-9024.
You can listen to Dr. De La Cruz’s podcasts, as well as podcasts of past episodes of the ARC Healthcare Minute on the ARC website.
