Health Partner and Advocate
September 25, 2018
Austin Regional Clinic is happy to announce that Dr. Sarah J. Ferrero, Family Medicine physician, has joined the team at ARC Cedar Park.
When discussing her choice to become a doctor, Dr. Ferrero says, "I grew up loving science, especially biology, and while at Southwestern University, had an opportunity to work at a hospital as well as an internship with the Health Department. This really opened my eyes to the possibilities within medicine, leading me to my training in San Antonio.”
She goes on to say “I witnessed firsthand how special and powerful Family Medicine can be in influencing not just patient health, but the health of the entire community. My role as a doctor is to become a health partner and advocate for my patients, deciding on health goals together and providing recommendations and treatment in line with those goals. My hope is that my patients feel heard and cared about.”
Dr. Ferrero says that she has a special interest in women, infants, children, and adolescents as well as caring for the entire family, infants to geriatrics, including LGBTQ patients and adults with disabilities.
Back to Central Texas
Dr. Ferrero grew up in Round Rock and says she is overjoyed to be back in Central Texas to practice! When she’s not working, Dr. Ferrero enjoys spending time with her husband, new infant daughter, and greyhound Pepper. She says, “We love exploring the Hill Country and spending time outside, cooking together, and traveling.”
If you would like to make an appointment with Dr. Ferrero, you can do so online or by calling ARC Cedar Park at 512-259-3467.
