Family Medicine Doctor Aleida Fernandez-Rubio, PA at Austin Regional Clinic

Treating patients within their values and beliefs

We are happy to welcome Aleida Fernandez-Rubio, MPAS, PA-C, Family Medicine to the ARC Southwest team.

“I’ve wanted to be in health care ever since I can remember,” says Aleida. “Throughout my career, I found my niche in family medicine. I love the diversity the specialty offers, as it is not just about treating one condition but working alongside patients during their life span to help them reach their health goals.”

“As a family medicine PA, I have the opportunity to form long-lasting relationships with my patients and treat them according to their values, beliefs and individuality,” Aleida adds.

Education and counselling

“I have a passion for educating and counseling patients on their health and I strive to build trusting relationships with them,” says Aleida. “By providing them with the most up to date evidence-based medical recommendations, I will give them the tools to make decisions about their health and wellbeing.”

When asked for health advice, Aleida says, “Prevention is key to stay healthy and delay disease onset. Strive to have a balanced diet, be physically active, and follow up with your primary care provider to be up-to-date on your preventive care.”

In her free time, Aleida says she enjoys, “Spending time with my husband, usually traveling or making future travel plans. You can also find me hanging out with my friends, who are my family here in Austin. We all really enjoy exploring and discovering new places to eat and things to do around the city.”
