How to stay healthy this flu season
October 06, 2020
It’s never possible to predict what the flu season will look like in advance, especially now. We know that the flu spreads every year, but the timing, severity, and length of the season vary from one year to another. One thing that does stay the same, however, is the ways to stay healthy.
In this recent podcast, Dr. Dominique Isaac, Family Medicine physician at ARC Anderson Mill, shared several tips for staying healthy during flu season. She says, “Wash your hands frequently, cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze, stay home when you’re ill, and get a flu shot.” Who should get the flu vaccine? Dr. Isaac says, “Flu shots are recommended for children over 6 months of age and adults.”
