I chose family
medicine because it allows me to care for the whole patient, not just a
single problem. It allows me to manage all of their problems
that are within the scope of my practice, and to refer them to specialists as the need arises. The most
important part of all this is helping the patient put all of the pieces
together, to help them understand things and to help relieve their
anxiety. My philosophy of
practice is to treat my patients as I would treat my family, and with that
as a guide, I feel I am
doing right by them.
