About David B. Udall, MD

  • Dr. Udall grew up in Houston, TX.  When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his children and partner, traveling, hiking, rockhounding, gardening, breeding cacti, and cooking. One of his favorite activities is tubing the rivers of Central Texas. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine and enjoys travel medicine and treatment and prevention of outdoor related illnesses and injuries.  He has also had volunteer experience with Hurricane Katrina relief and humanitarian medical assistance in Ethiopia. Dr. Udall is a proud U.S. Army veteran and welcomes other veterans and their families to his practice.

I chose a career in family medicine because I like being able to help people from the cradle to their final days with a wide variety of problems. Every patient is unique, and the best care comes from a primarily evidence-based approach, tailored to the individual’s personality, needs and circumstances.

I liked how straightforward and honest the doctor was about my options. Easy to talk to, kind. Thank you!

  • November 8, 2022

My previous comment details his lack of care while in the room. The nurse and other staff were amazing. He reminded me why I rarely seek care from a male physician as a woman.

  • October 26, 2022

The Nurse was super helpful, compassionate and kind. She was amazing. Dr Udall was effective but could improve on his bedside manner.

I felt rushed the entire time, I feel like the plan of care was not adequately explained…what do I do now that x rays are done?

Dr. Udall was kind and patient with our son! He was very nervous about going but the doctor was relaxed and calm and talked to him. It really put his nerves at ease! And mine too!!
