About
Ashley C. McClary, MD, MPH, FAAP
-
Dr. McClary grew up in Lynchburg, VA. When she is not working, she can be found swimming, playing tag, riding bikes, or having a dance party with her two young children and husband. Dr. McClary also enjoys climbing, being outside, and “more dancing!” Among her family’s favorite locales are the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and The Thinkery, both in Austin.
I knew at a young age that I wanted to be a pediatrician - a career with the sole focus of helping children and rooted in science. As a pediatrician, it's the enduring relationships I have built with the children, family, and communities I have the privilege of caring for that keep me going. These deeply human connections and commitment to service make being a pediatrician the best job on earth. My role is to partner with a child and their family, bringing my expertise to each unique situation in order to improve a child’s health and well-being. Every interaction, from newborn to adolescence, is a chance for me to listen and learn. Some families need information, others need answers, while others need reassurance. Wherever you are on your journey, I can’t wait to meet you and learn how I can help!
