About Philip A. Roberts, MD

  • Dr. Roberts only sees patients for same-day illness and injury visits. Patients should always follow up with their primary care physician (PCP).

Dr. Roberts grew up in the Catskills region of New York state. As a classically-trained pianist and violist, Dr. Roberts enjoys playing the piano in his free time, along with running, hiking, travel, cooking, and spending time with his family and pets. He is a “foodie,” and also enjoys exploring the restaurant scene in Austin and Central Texas. Among his favorite area locales are the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, the greenbelt for hiking, and Lady Bird Lake.

I chose a career in Family Medicine, particularly Urgent Care, because I wanted to serve all age groups, from newborns to the elderly. I enjoy the urgent care setting due to the myriad of acute healthcare issues and different problems each patient has. Most importantly, I enjoy providing great health care in an efficient manner. I believe in treating every patient with compassion, dignity, and respect. These three principles are the foundation for a strong physician-patient relationship.

The nurse was very nice. The doctor was very helpful and listen to my concerns. He recommended more effective allergy medication. He took time with exam and didn’t rush through it. He was prompt and on time with my appointment. I highly recommend the doctor to anyone seeking medical treatment. I will also make appointments with him knowing I would receive great care. A+ doctor
